AddTime function? #54

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
Current version:
checkout svn r223

Problem:
AddTime removed (r212)

Will a function like this be again implemented in the nearby future?

Hey sven,

Thanks for the email. I'd be glad to explain why the time and datetime
elements were removed in the current working copy managed through svn.

The two jQuery plugins that were included in the formbuilder-1.0.6.zip for
rendering the datetime and time form elements proved to be a bit buggy and not
ready for production use yet. Also, the project's url - http://milesich.com/ -
is no longer accessible, which is a red flag and could mean that the project is
no longer actively being developed/supported. I want to provide users of this
project with the best utilities available, and the datetime and time elements
in version 1.0.6 do not meet the high standards of this project.

A form element for collecting time has been a recurring request since this
project came to code.google.com, and I'm always searching for solid utilities I
can integrate into the project to meet this demand.

Thanks for your support of this project,
Andrew

Just to point out, that we are planning on making it possible to create your
own elements in a plugin type fashion. Once that is done, there will surely be
a addTime type element available.
