Spike: Look for dead code in the Agent #1922

We'll occasionally find dead code in the Agent for features that have been deprecated, workarounds for frameworks that are no longer supported, or code that was meant to be temporary. We should do an audit of the codebase to see what we can clean up.

Acceptance Criteria

Either removal of dead code or a document that lists what can be cleaned up. (Or notes on what we aren't sure about)
