Description

Heartbeat Metrics

The Kafka consumer has a self monitoring heartbeat thread that makes sure the consumer is still alive.

The following are heartbeat metrics that MUST be captured if possible:

MessageBroker/Kafka/Heartbeat/Poll
MessageBroker/Kafka/Heartbeat/Sent
MessageBroker/Kafka/Heartbeat/Fail
MessageBroker/Kafka/Heartbeat/Receive
MessageBroker/Kafka/Heartbeat/SessionTimeout
MessageBroker/Kafka/Heartbeat/PollTimeout

We're not going to do this unless a customer ask for it. From the spec:

The .NET Agent does not capture the following metrics/attributes: Heartbeat: Out of scope and provides little if any value.
