Variations after comments do not show

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. If you have a comment {.....} and after that a variation the variation
does not show.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Also if you have a comment after a comment, its ignored.
I mean {some comment} {this comment is ignored}
