The Behrend75 project has a start to a front-facing website. As it is now, the data has not been attached (due to the fact that it is still consistently changing). However there are page descriptions for each page and css that is in progress in collaboration with the Middle group to make a user friendly data-viewing experience. We have preview windows for each page on the index doc and we are working on the structure of the other pages in relation to the information being given by the Middle group. We plan to find a way to display the charts and graphs that are in progress in a way that allows for site visitors to see them in relation to the contextual data we received the data from.

Milestone 3

This week had a lot of trial and error with the css and accessibility regarding color theory and how cumbersome iframes can be. We worked on the css of the calendar grid of the images and the text connected to them. I reached out to Middle Group about their stuff, but I think they were still tinkering with it, so it is not up yet. We also made a sidebar for the calendar page to make them more easily accessible. I pinged Middle in Slack to see if they could apply the sidebar to XSLT for faster process placing sidebar in all the calendar files. We also accomodated the css to the staticSearch update.

Milestone 4:

We edited the menus and made a new sidebar element for the inner pages with the content. We also edited the grid for Calendar and Travel letters so that they use different grids according to their specific needs (to specify, Calendar has its own special grid code due to its tertiary column for group dialogue). We also updated and edited code based on new content given to us by the other groups (Backend - new files to connect ; Middle - tables and timelines).

Making sure the website is accessibility friendly is a work in progress. It is pretty clear right now, except for the listed elements needing more space (code made, it will be initiated soon). We are also working on making thumbnails for the inner menu pages that lists the content. I am thinking about making a calendar image and placing the options on it according to their date.
