This assignment really taught me some very interesting things on analyzing data. One of the things that I could easily discover with Voyant Tools is that there would always be one word that would be used very frequently. For example, faustus was for sure a word of choice as visually indicated on the graph. In terms of using AntConc, I really like how I am able to compare data more graphically than visually. More specifically, some of the words that I discovered being used the most included “my lord” and “of the”. Using “of the” is pretty typical in a lot of readings from my own understanding, but “my lord” is not. I think both programs have pros and cons to them. I like Voyant tools for the visualization and AntConc because it is more high tech.
