This subject matter seemed very interesting to me as I know nothing about the legal status of slaves in post-war America. The first thing I noticed was the intricacy of the handwriting in this document. That is the first issue I faced when attempting to transcribe this. I don't think anybody can definitively decipher exactly what was written on this page, however, I think a good, educated guess can be made.
I came across the same issue towards the bottom, as none of the signatures were readable, at least to me. I just really had an issue definitively saying what was written open the page if it was handwritten.
