Dome rotator calibration #28

I can’t find any option in the current ASCOM driver to calibrate the dome rotator, to how many turns of the motor will move the dome how many degrees.

ok well still no reply, someone Tim Babak please help me with this.

I have tried everything to get the slaving to work correctly and it still won’t work. The dome only moves half the distance it should to slave. I have done the following:

  1. Deleted and reinstalled nexdome and device hub software
  2. Measured the dome and scope position with laser accuracy
  3. No matter what I do when I home the dome it stops at the magnet as it should, then if I home it again it rotates 180 degrees and then thinks its home
  4. The radius I am using is 1017mm
  5. I have the slave to dome box checked and when I move the scope the dome moves as well but only rotates half the distance it should to align with the scope.

I have facebook messaged and sent an e-mail and posted in the facebook user group and the GitHub nexdome problem section, and facebook and e-mailed Tim Long and no response from Tim, and no effective solution from facebook group.

Solved by correctly setting dip switches
