Reported by Babak (@nexdome ). He's getting this error:

All of a sudden we are getting this message when trying to upload the firmware to units. I uninstalled and installed again and no change.

It seems like a pending Windows Update may have caused this. Not sure of the exact mechanism but a reboot sorted it all out.
