1.9.x compatibility #2

Make bio-nexml Ruby 1.9.x compatible. It currently works only on 1.8.7.

Oh, yeah that would be good. What are the issues that need to be resolved?

Not sure of all of them. There are a couple of blog posts that list the incompatible changes from 1.8.7 to 1.9.2. Will use one of them as reference.
