I found some similar issues from 2018. But i think this feature is really cool and moves the app forward.
Please link them for continuity, and so we can see other people's opinions, ideas and train of thoughts on the matter :)
the same is necessary for downloading: If i once sync a file and download it i want it to stay on the device until i remove download-mark. this does not work - it seems there is some retention in the app that deletes local files after some time (weeks?). This also has been discussed here: https://help.nextcloud.com/t/is-there-an-option-to-always-keep-files-on-the-android-device/137634/1 shall i open a separate issue for this or do these two functions belong together (real offline mode?)
Issue from https://help.nextcloud.com/t/android-app-offlinemodus-moglich/159114 . Slightly rewritten. I found some similar issues from 2018. But i think this feature is really cool and moves the app forward.
Problem: "We" use the Android app in the field to first set and name a folder and then second put photos there. If our users have no internet connection, it does not work. It is not possible to create a folder (locally) and upload pictures in that folder (locally). We can not use the app offline. We can copy files not on that way but only with mobile data or wifi at office. This means that, for example, images can only be assigned to different folders at a later date. Applies to all file types, of course.
Feature: It would be nice if the Nextcloud app works offline like online. So it would be possible to add a lot of different folders (offline) and upload e.g. photos (offline). If we are online (mobile, wlan) again, the app can sync / upload the directorys/files to Nextcloud.
Why it may not be implemented: The problem could be the synchronization or the delayed subsequent upload of folders and files. I don't know if this is possible with the Nextcloud app.
