Can you use an app to see which folder is that big, e.g. DiskUsage?

grospolina commented 6 years ago

I have the same issue on my device. The uploaded images remain in the temporary folder on my sd-card: SD-Card/Android/media/com.nextcloud.client/nextcloud/tmp/MyUsername@MyServer/MySyncedFolder

I deleted the hole folder and took a new photo. It was synced to my server and remains in the tmp-folder after the upload.

Environment data

Android version: 6.0.1 Device model: Sony Xperia Z3 Compact Stock or customized system: Stock Nextcloud app version: 3.1.0 Nextcloud server version: 13.0.2

Hi,

the folder looks similar on my side.

Sd/media/android/data/com.nextcloud.client/files/nextcloud/tmp/[user@domain]/[server folder structure]

Thanks Michael

I created a fix for this, which will be soon in dev version. It would be cool if you can test it there :+1:

Is this still not fixed? I'm on 3.15.1 and currently nextcloud app is using 11+GB on my phone!

Edit: it is 44 GB!! Screenshot_20210331-001436.jpg

Same Problem here! Version: 3.21.0 RC1

I will reinstall the app now, maybe the issue is fixed, but the existing files weren't deleted

Same problem. Nextcloud 3.22.3, Android 12.

I look into Android/media/com.nextcloud.client//nextcloud but there are no temporary files there

It seems that the cache files are being stored in another location.

Same version, same problem

/storage/emulated/0/Android/media/com.nextcloud.client/nextcloud/dmz@nextcloud.dmzs.com/DMZ-Phone/Camera

1237 files 3.87G

My dcim folder was cleaned, and the files were uploaded, I think. I'll double check a few to be sure.

3.23.0 from 2022/12/1 appears to have fixed my problems. My almost 4G of storage is now down to 328M.
