"Your storage is full, files cannot be updated or synced anymore!", but quota is set to Unlimited #525

Steps to reproduce

  1. Browse to Files
  2. The message "Your storage is full, files cannot be updated or synced anymore!" appears
  3. Go to Users
  4. Check users quota, in my case only as admin and user -> quota is Unlimited (169,7 GB used)

Expected behavior

No error

Actual behavior

There should be no error message, I have a 2 Tb disk of which only 169 Gb are used.

I have read about this problem in older posts suggesting sudo docker exec --user www-data next_app_1 php occ user:setting USERNAME files quota "999 GB" I have done that and, yes, quota changed to 999, but I still got the Storage Full error. Switched between Default and Unlimited and ending with Unlimited, but the error is still there.

Before this happened I had just added an External Storage on SMB to make a backup of Nextcloud that only created an empty folder inside shared SMB folder. I thought that was the problem, so I removed both the External Storage folder and the app. But no change. I mentioned the issue here https://github.com/nextcloud/backup/issues/521

EDIT I see now that Open Media Vault is showing /dev/sda1 100% full. I have run this command and got

So I cd /srv/dev-disk-by-uuid-ba4514c7-4c36-4c08-9827-3f3f584ab6b0/data/nextcloud/appdata_ocfk5q0tgxex/ and rm -rf backup and suddenly sda1 has normal size occupied.

I suppose this has something to do with the weird behavior of backup. Any way at least for this I think it's solved.
