Event in shared group calendar cannot be deleted #5365

Steps to reproduce

  1. Create an event with a third-party tool (eg, Thunderbird's lightning component) in a shared group calendar
  2. Try to delete this event (via the web front-end)
  3. Web UI just shows spinning circle, upon refreshing the web page the event is till there

Expected behavior

The event should have been deleted from the calendar.

Event wasn't deleted

Just discovered a work-around: Emptying the trash bin allows the calendar entry to be deleted.
