Translation-Issue for German Language #5616

Steps to reproduce

  1. Create new Appointment in Calender
  2. choose a reminder
  3. edit the reminder to point to a "Date"
  4. save

Expected behavior

Output should be:

am Samstag 24. Januar 2024 um 13:00

Hm this is a difficult one, because there is a time set too. The focus is on the time here, at least that was the purpose for the "um" - "um 13:30". But the correct one would be "am Samstag, 27. Januar 2024 um 13:30". Since this needs to work for all languages, I'm not sure how to fix this.

@rakekniven do you have any ideas possibly?

@miaulalala you still have it... during the edit-process:

  1. create new appointment
  2. click to add a new reminder (BTW. Strange that you only can choose the pre-defined, and later on need to EDIT it again... instead of selecting something like "custom" and set a date... but that might be another issue!)
  3. edit the added reminder and choose "date"
  4. you'll see it in the right way in the input-field as long as you edit it
  5. blur focus, and it switch to wrong wording

If you don't get it in a easy way, you can only output:

"Samstag 27.Januar 2024 - 13:00 Uhr"

That's perfectly fine, as the "am" and "um" words are only some fill-words to make it sound more human

I'm not sure that removing the text is the way to go for accessibility reasons. @JuliaKirschenheuter what do you think?

Was only a suggestion if you don't get it like "during editing the date".
