Direct Export to PDF #286

First of all, what a fantastic App, great job!

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. Just an idea for future, but some way to share recipes with other nextcloud users or with outside people would be useful. Granted you could use the files app to share to other users, or share a printed pdf with the files app to share with outside people, but some sort of in-app mechanism would be nice.

I have no idea if there is a way to leverage the files app in the UI for this?

Also for sharing outside if there was a way to convert to pdf internally and then leverage the files app?

There are already issues discussing this. ex: #120

For sharing there is currently the option to print the recipe, so you could also print to pdf (Should work as bugs where fixed for that, see #169 ? But there is currently no direct export to PDF. If you would like that i would suggest you open a issue for that or change this one.

Sorry about that, I did a search but somehow missed that one. Regarding direct export to PDF, yeah I'll clean up this thread

The trouble with direct export to PDF is that it's a monstrous, chaotic format to write, but since we know exactly what we're printing, it might actually be feasible to use TCPDF

Ah I see, makes sense. One upside though is that this could be a way to get around firefox's printing bug #242 , if what we print was made a pdf first and then people print. Just a thought

I would add printing to PDF via the browser print dialog is awful. This is how the preview looks like for me
