Not able to create or assign user to Guests group #1206

Hi, I have a nextcloud v28.0.6 on Debian 11 VPS. I'm not able to assign nor create a user to Guests group. Apps Guests v3.0.1.

Here are the two scenarios I tried.

  1. I create a new user part of Guests group account, and after providing all details and everything activating account, the user is still not in the Guests group.
  2. I tried to assign the new user to the Guests group from the user admin dashboard, when I select from dropdown the interface is looping forever see screenshot. image

Any idea what might be the issue? Thanks in advance.

Are you inviting the Guest via a share per the instructions first?

You may also want to make sure you're running the latest maintenance release (28.0.8).

OMG sorry for not being able touse the app properly, thanks a lot. It is working as expected. Maybe you can add the how to use a bit more explicit not only on the GitHub repo readme file but also on the Nextcloud app directory. Thanks a lot.
