Boards not saving #2

After some amount of writing, the boards stop saving. Manually trying to save it into a file doesn't do anything. To not loose all my progress, I have to export it to a link, then open the link, and save it from there as a file.

I have no idea how to debug this.

I was wondering if it was file upload limit, but I have that set up to 50GB, so that's not it for sure.

can i just save the excaliddraw file to nextcloud

Is this experience related? "Edit here" works - shows the most recent version I'd expect to see. "Open in new tab" - seems to show something else entirely (possibly an ancient version).
