Nextcloud iOS 3.0.0.76 is another impressive step with lots of cool features. Great Work!

What I am not getting into is the new media view. In my opinion there were many super cool features removed:

I am not understanding the use case that was assumed while designing the media view. For my use case the above list is kind of critical. I guess the things were removed for a good reason but I would highly appreciate more opinions and discussion on this.

I can also not find the option to enable End-to-end encryption.

How can we use E2E en IOS version 3 ?

I'm using IOS version 3.0.1 and Nextcloud 18.6

+1 for "+/- can only show max. 4 pictures in a row." ...

Pretty strange fact : when I run the 3.0.0 for the first time I'm almost sure to have seen 5 pictures in a row ... May be it was recorded in the settings from the 2.x.x ?

@JorgeGNL do not insert a new argument for a single issue, please create another one

Hi, thanks for your report, can you verify is this issue is yet present on new 3.0.1 in TestFlight

khlschrnk commented 4 years ago

I tested testflight version 3.0.1.

Chose media folder: The difference I see is that the option to choose the media folder is back available. On a first view it looks like it only shows pictures within the folder you chose but not pictures in subdirectories. On a more detailed look it seems that picture that are shown because I initially chose a folder at the bottom level are then also shown on a higher level (if you chose another folder on a higher level).

To make it easier to understand: Chose a folder on top level --> no pictures are shown (but in this folder there are really no picture, only in further subdirectories) Afterwards select a folder in a subfolder that contains pictures --> these pictures are shown Afterwards select again the top level folder --> the picture of the subfolder (that was chosen in the step before) are shown but not in any further subdirectory. If you then select further subdirectories they are then also shown in top level folder. But always only after they were first directly slected.

+/-: Now I can see a max of 5 pictures in a row. When I tap on "+" until only 1 picture is shown then the "+" is grey/disabled to indicate that you can not zoom in any further. When I tap on "-" until I can not zoom any more out the "-" is not shown as grey. It would be easier to understand that the maximum zoom is reached, when this would also be grey/disabled. I also would love to see even more pictures in a row, but I am not sure if that has other impacts on e.g. performance.

Sorting: I haven't checked sorting as this is barely possible because of the current behavor of "chose media folder".

Scrolling dot: Is not available.

Just for reference in v4.5.5.2 I can get a max of 6 columns.
