I am trying to set up my iOS device with CalDav and CardDav.
Using this guide, I have been trying to set up CalDAV or CardDav, however I keep getting this message on my iPhone: “The accounts can’t upgrade because of missing information. Can’t connect to the account.”
After that I have been trying to setup with this guide on my Mac and I got this message:
“Can’t check on the account name or password”
However I used the same account name and password on both surfaces.
sorry you're having trouble on the iOS/macOS sync. I had some issues on iOS too.
Couple of things that you can check :
your server has HTTPS enabled ? it says here that you should at least for macOS
in the Calendar app of Nextcloud, in the settings (bottom left), there is a button "Copy the iOS/macOS CalDAV address", have you tried that instead of the base URL of your server ? The address goes somewhere along these lines : https://myserver.fr/nextcloud/remote.php/dav/principals/users/me
I had to make sure these dav addresses were correctly mapped on the apache settings before I got it to work on iOS (haven't tried macOS), check out this doc
