Buttons to join conference (or copy link) difficult to use #22

Closed baslow closed 1 year ago

On the page listing conferences available to join, the buttons to join and to copy the link are difficult to click. I am accessing the page through Firefox v. 109.0 from Pop_OS. When I hover my cursor on either of the buttons a circle appears around it, words appear below the cursor ("Join" or "Copy to clipboard") along wit a shape I cannot identify (which follows cursor movement, if I stay within the circle). However, it takes several trial-and-error attempts, moving my cursor within the circle, before the click works -- either to join the conference or to copy the link. I don't experience any problem accessing the "Delete room" menu.

Indeed theres a popover hint that keeps me from clicking that "Join Room" button as well. Safari on iOS and Mac, FireFox on Windows as well.

Thanks for reporting the issue @baslow . Can you send a screenshot?

baslow commented 1 year ago

Attempts to take a screenshot with the PoP_OS app failed because I couldn't figure out how to do it without moving the cursor. I took these with my phone and the quality is not great. Let me know if you need higher resolution and I'll see if I can find a screenshot app that lets me set a timer, so I can position and capture the cursor. 20230205_NCJitsi_01 20230205_NCJitsi_02 20230205_NCJitsi_03

I second that. For me it shows a flickering on the buttons "Join" and "Copy to Clipboard". The 3 dots work fine. It seems to switch very quickly between 2 states making it difficult to get into a Jitsi room. It started with Nextcloud 25, was fine in 24. The behaviour is the same in Chrome an Firefox (Linux and Windows)

The same thing. Сreating a second conference solves the problem with tooltip positioning.

bsk-eduardo-oliveira commented 1 year ago

This is not the solution, it is necessary that with only one room created the problem does not occur. What is the solution using a css to hide this tooltip?

In fact, this is somewhat annoying. For my colleagues, the function is actually unusable. It is difficult to explain to them that you have to hit a very specific spot in order for it to work. So, is there any progress here?

Apart from this bug, I actually think this plugin is excellent and I would be happy to make it available again for all users of our NC instance.

Please update to v0.17.0. The issue should be solved there.
