Unable to compose mail #4770

I'm trying to write an email, when I click on "new message" nothing happens.

Expected behavior

I expect some form of editor form where i can write email.

Actual behavior

nothing happens at all, and I can't see anything in the server logs either.

Mail app

1.9.3

Mailserver or service: (e.g. Outlook, Yahoo, Gmail, Exchange,...) cyrus imap 2.4.19 on openSUSE 15.2

Server configuration

Operating system: openSUSE 15.2

Web server: apache 2.4.43

Database: mariadb 10.4.17

PHP version: (e.g. 7.0)

Nextcloud Version: nextcloud 21.0.0

Client configuration

Browser: Firefox 86.0

Operating system: Windows 10

Hi lemmy04,

can you have a look in the browser devtools please and see what the console is logging?

not much:

i opened the console, cleaned the contents, and clicked "new message" - all i got is:

"jQuery is deprecated: The global jQuery is deprecated. It will be updated to v3.x in Nextcloud 21. In later versions of Nextcloud it might be removed completely. Please ship your own."

when i click on "reply" on a received mail I get some more:

hello, does this means that also the log error is the name?

@GretaD yes, it seems to be caused by this undefined property n.aliases that we're trying to map() over.

Just like @lemmy04, it fails silently when I try to compose an email, but the error pops up in the console when I click "reply" on an email. The two things might be different issues though, can't confirm that they're the same.
