Mail not working #7574

Steps to reproduce

  1. After upgrade to Nextcloud 25.0.1.1
  2. Can't setup new mail accounts under each user. Just give connection error or Testing Activation and never completes.
  3. Current setup users mail doesn't display correctly anymore just acts like it keeps trying to load messages (greyed out blink)
  4. Tried in chrome and Firefox. Same issue in both browsers

Expected behavior

Mail should load and should be able to create accounts.

This worked in last version of NC 24

Can you please check nextcloud log for any relevant errors and send it to us so we can check what is happening

seem the latest update fixed it. Now the dark theme doesn't show the link to show images:

The images have been blocked to protect your privacy. Show images

So unless you know it is there you can't see any images in the email, because the text is white and the background of the email is white for show images. Text could be linked to dark mode of Nextcloud theme making it white. It looks like in the mail app the email body is forced to be white background and the text is white now for just the show images.

Hi, I have the same issue with nextcloud 24.0.3 and mail 1.15.1. I have an OVH account, but I can't add it in Mail. I have this error:An error occurred while setting up your account. I tried with an gmail account the problem is the same.
