Random character inserts in mobile view #9130

Steps to reproduce

This might be an issue with ckeditor, not sure.

  1. Open Mail in Firefox mobile
  2. Start typing
  3. Enter a whitespace
  4. Enter two more characters
  5. The editor duplicates the first typed character after the whitespace at the end of the line after the cursor.

Typing "Hello Ch" gives this:

SmartSelect_20231202_071822_Firefox

Expected behavior

Only display what I type

Actual behavior

Random character inserts making my life difficult and my grammar worse 😅

I can not reproduce using FF for Android 120.0.1

I have the same FF version but it still happens for me.

Maybe it's something to do with the adblocker plugin? Lemme disable that and try again.
