Read items continue to be shown after marking as read despite 'only show unread' enabled in settings

With the "show only unread" option set, I would expect read items to immediately be removed from the view.

Refreshing the view hides the read items, but it also make me lose my place in the feed by scrolling back to the top of the feed.

Looks like a duplicate of #1010 @David-Development do you know if #1010 is planned?

I'll close this issue and track it in #1010
