News app often stops responding

Please describe your bug here...

Recently when opening news items sometimes it'll open a blank page and stop responding. None of the controls onscreen work, and eventually ill get the "app is not responding, stop/wait". I did recently upgrde to NC 29, but I don't think it started mediately after. How to diagnose? Thanks.

@sshockley Thank you for the report! The version you're using is from June 2022 - any chance for you to update? Did you download the app through Google Play or F-Droid?

I also have the same problem, for a few days, with the last version: 0.9.9.90

I guess the signing cert changed? I un/reinstalled from fdroid and haven't had any hangs since.

@louim-lbs , if reinstalling doesn't fix it for you, it's likely a different bug.
