So I dig a bit in what could be the news page. The content is dummy so don't give feedback about that.

Looks great! :) Just details:

• Let’s put the date below the short preview text, because it’s not as important as the title. Same for Twitter and forum posts.
• For Twitter and the forum posts, the avatar + name should be above the text as that’s also how it’s displayed on the respective pages
• The capitalized names and dates make them harder to read and we don’t really do that anywhere else. Let’s keep them normal.
• I guess we’ll have some kind of categories, so it might be good to have a filter for that. Above the »Latest Twitter posts« for example.

When I actually start design the page I have the categories, but I cant find them in the actual page I remove it. But I agree with you.

The capitalized names and dates make them harder to read and we don’t really do that anywhere else. Let’s keep them normal.

We only use one font and I need to give some hierarchy to text. I now its more harder to read but you can have add letterspacing to get this readable I already do it but I can increase the value. If you take a look at any website that are news related they do that pretty well. So I prefer the Uppercase letters for adding typography diversity. I already put many time in study typography and I know that you do the same.

Letter spacing doesn’t give the readability back. People read words by their shapes, not by individual letter. That’s why it’s important to have it in lowercase. For hierarchy:

• The names are already blue and next to an avatar so that’s fine without caps.
• And the date shouldn’t be screaming at you with caps because it’s not very important. A more appropriate hierarchical design would be to have the text color be 50% grey.

What do you mean by that? I’m not sure what the date belonging below the preview text and below the text of the Twitter and forum posts has to do with the categories. The categories would be a list section above the sections of Twitter and forum posts.

I think it looks great but I wouldn't know where to start to make it this way :(
