Still happens in 2023. Good thing nextcloud keeps old versions.
Can confirm this is still a problem. You don't even have to make any edits, the app will just happily destroy the more current state on the server by uploading its outdated version from the iOS Notes app. It does not always happen and is therefore hard to reproduce but it does happen and when it happens it can delete a whole lot of notes I have taken in the meantime on my desktop. Is there no mechanism in place which checks timestamps and can can make sure no outdated edits are uploaded?
I experience this bug regularly and it's very frustrating. Adding to the frustration is there is no way that I can see to roll back from the iphone so you have to get to your computer to get the previous version restored.
if there are some logs or something i can provide to assist in getting this bug resolved please let me know
When starting the app, it uploads the currently opened, but outdated note to nextcloud, instead of looking for any in the meantime changed version on the nextcloud server. This results in overwriting of previous changes, made by other clients.
