I get the same error (404 unacceptable response), however already for the initial sync. Thus, I am not able to get any notes from my server.
Initial connection in the settings seems to work tough.
I got the same problem since years. Now, it annoys me so much that I finally decided to come here.
I am currently using Nextcloud Server 28.0.4 and iOS Nextcloud Notes 4.2.0. But as said before this happens since literally years. There is also a AppStore Review from 25.11.2023 that also states this.
Steps to reproduce: Create a new note from iOS app. Enter some text go back to notes overview and refresh the view. More and more duplicates are created now. When I quit the app I can see on webinterface that no new douplicates are created. But once I am back in the app and again refresh the notes list more duplicates are comming, no problem to get hundreds of them. I am only only able to stop the creation of the duplicates by deinstalling the nextcloud notes ios app completely.
If anyone of you got a hint on how to delete these duplicates I a happy to know this. Deleting the files from the storage on the server does not help unfortunately and it takes super long to manually delete >600 notes.
Here are the log entries during the time the notes are being created.
In the latest CloudNotes version, when the app uploads a new note created on the iOS device, it keeps creating duplicates of that note.
In one case, it created 26 (!) copies of a note before I could interrupt the app. In some cases during this syncing process, it displays error windows like "Response status code was unaccceptable: 500" or "Response status code was unaccceptable: 404" repeated several times in the window.
This bug is a show stopper; it currently makes the app unusable for me (force quitting and reopening does not change the behaviour).
