Inconsistent editor interface when opening notes, also deleted all data for a note

Before the newest update, a basic editor without many markdown tools in the app UI would launch. And it would launch within half a second as well. Now I usually have to wait at least two seconds for an editor with more UI on a top ribbon.

Sometimes, all text with appear monospaced for some unknown reason. today when this happened, for some reason all of my text was selected at once right when I opened the app. Then I pressed enter once and it all got cleared. This was an important file. Luckily I had a backup.

I notice also that the new editor interface is extremely sensitive - if you do anything that would put the application in a backgrounded state it will lose connection to the server and prompt a reconnect. However I have never once been able to reconnect using the button that appears. I have to quit the entire app and restart.

Needlessly to say, the experience has become almost unusable to the point where I’m considering platforms.

I have an unfortunate workaround: put the app in offline mode then the old UI is used.

I agree, the current experience is quite poor.

My family lost trust in this app after, my wife's important notes got deleted, due to this, I am actively searching for other ways to back up our data. nextcloud served well until now
