Diaspora* Federation Protocol Support

Nextcloud Social lists plans to support Diaspora* on the roadmap and readme, but please note that Diaspora is not compatible with ActivityPub. As mentioned in the Zot request, Diaspora only federates with itself, and you can learn more on their forum.

As @daita already said in the Zot protocol support request:

Personally, I am not a fan of adding another protocol to the app; AP is good enough.

We are pragmatic:

• ActivityPub seems a good common ground – might not be perfect but there can be extensions etc
• It’s adopted by a lot of different projects already, including Mastodon, Friendica, Peertube, Pleroma and Pixelfed
• The Diaspora protocol is only really used by Diaspora?

The only thing we are considering is adding the Mastodon client API since that will make Nextcloud Social usable with a lot of native apps for mobile and desktop.
