Show speaker name when video streams at the bottom is hidden #4922

One thing mentioned by a user I talked to recently. Collapsing the videos on the bottom for screensharing is a great enhancement. But there is one big drawback, you no longer see who is speaking at the moment. Not the video, that's hidden by intention but the name. In large groups you still want to know who is speaking at the moment. Maybe we can come up with a nice idea to show the speakers name permanently or as some kind of "popup" bubble when someone starts speaking?

I don't have a good idea how to solve it the most elegant way, but I'm sure @nextcloud/designers might have some good ideas. :slightly_smiling_face:

As far as I understand, whoever is speaking should anyway automatically appear in promoted view, unless you manually followed someone else.

Unless you mean when multiple people are speaking at the same time ?

Even if that's the case, the stripe is sometimes not wide enough to show everyone so you'd likely miss who else is also speaking.

This doesn't happen if someone shares their screen. In this case you always see the screenshare and have to no way to find out who is talking at the moment.
