It is most likely an error in the EvidenceModeler partitioning scheme that was fixed in v1.8.9 -- looks like you are running v1.8.7 here.

I don't see anything obvious from this logfile as to why it failed. My suggestion is to upgrade funannotate as I don't have time to troubleshoot older versions.
We use the same parameters to predict genes, of which there are two species have the same error when gene prediction
