We (@aydogduali and I) have been performing several runs of neXtSIM-DG in the last few months on different machines.
Lately I have been noticing that the run time became longer compared to the April version one.
Find the details in the following:
Previous version (fast one):
Time
real 0m2,839s
user 0m2,365s
sys 0m0,473s
This is what the configuration file looks like:
Most recent version of the develop branch (slower):
Time:
real 4m12,750s
user 4m12,678s
sys 0m0,046s
Same config file.
I noticed that in the second version I am reporting here the message "Spherical coordinates are not yet implemented. Reverting to Cartesian." does not pop-up anymore (so I guess in this version it has already been addressed).
Can you explain somehow this change in speed?
