Historically we've stored a lot of collaborative datasets (such as lassa) on our "core" S3 bucket, but they are not updated regularly (e.g. lassa last updated 23 Apr 2018). I know I'm listed as the maintainer, but I don't know why, as this was largely done by Paul. I'd like to (slowly!) transition to core builds being synonymous with automated / regularly updated pathogens. (There are exceptions - e.g. datasets corresponding to a particular outbreak don't need to be kept up-to-date if the outbreak's over.) Looking at the cards on /pathogens excluding the West-African EBOV dataset, only 6/11 are being kept up to date. So given this state of the page as it exists, I think fine to add Lassa to this page. But medium term I'd like us to differentiate between regularly updated pathogens & others. (My work on the cards UI goes some way towards addressing this, but more will be needed.)
@jameshadfield agreed! I just did a check and Lassa was the only entry in manifest_core missing a card.
Let's continue this discussion in #764.
