Improve styling of wide tables #18

Description of proposed changes

Allows tables to expand with the viewport instead of staying confined within the main content column. See a more detailed description of the behaviour in my added comments.

Also adds a bunch of demo documentation so it's easy to see the effect of this change (and others in the future).

Discussion in Slack recently and a bit longer ago.

Testing

Lots of visual inspection and testing of scrolling behaviour in a local build in Firefox.

Preview build with the demo tables.
