json error

I am getting a json error from the powershell script that reads;

IException calling "DeserializeObject" with "1" argument(s): "Invalid JSON primitive: ." At \eisd-it-logs\c$\FSRMUPDT\DeployCryptoBlocker.ps1:49 char:12

Running on a windows server 2016 fully patched. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
