I think you should still include the motivation for this. Why do HR's need to add an employee? I believe it is an important reasoning of your system

Team's Response

Our team believes that the benefit of adding employees to the HR manager is self-evident from the function, and thus can be omitted from the user story.

Reason for disagreement: I believe that this should still be specified as it is one of the main functionality and purpose of your application, and adding it adds meaning. What is the main benefit of the HR Managers adding an employee? By saying that "self-evident from the function" It makes it sound like the benefit of adding an employee is so that they can be added in the system(the function), but there is a deeper benefit than this. I think this user story specifies the main benefit of your app, employee management, and thus it would have been better to add the benefit section. eg "As a HR manager, I want to add a new employee so that I can manage their contacts at one place in the app" is so much clearer as compared to "As a HR manager I want to add a new employee."
