What cross-domain knowledge-sharing approach does this issue address?

VoID Vocabulary

The VoID Vocabulary is a Vocabulary that aims to express metadata about RDF datasets, such as:

• General metadata following the Dublin Core model.
• Access metadata describes how RDF data can be accessed using various protocols.
• Structural metadata describes the structure and schema of datasets and is useful for tasks such as querying and data integration.
• Description of links between datasets are helpful for understanding how multiple datasets are related and can be used together.

As such it mostly only describes what metadata can be used to harvest the data. This might be helpfull for implementing automated mappings for each consortia via tools like sssom a.s.o.

What further steps are needed to be taken or discussed by/in our WG regarding this issue?

1. [ ] A minimal requirement list for knowledge sharing must be described
   • [ ] Each consortium would need to describe what domains of metadata terms (e.g. provenance, domain specific terms,...) are of central use for them
   • [ ] (optional) A list of terms to be checked for all knowledge sharing approaches could be defined
