Ideas from Catherine:

Make timeline proportional.
Create a timeline for each layer, and manage them independently.

The second point was requested by Matías Gaute (arg) as well, to be able to compare the evolution of planted areas regarding protected areas (or that's what I remember). It is planned to be developed by Manuel Retamozo (arg). I assign it to me.
