Request for FocMechAPP #1

According to the README file, this project should contain a folder named "FocMechAPP", but I cannot find it in the downloaded repository. The README states that FocMechAPP is used to "Estimate a focal mechanism and standard error using P-wave first-motions and P-SV-SH absolute amplitude ratios."

I am interested in using this functionality for my research on earthquake source mechanisms. Having access to the FocMechAPP folder and its associated code would be very helpful.

Could you please provide the FocMechAPP folder or direct me to where I can obtain it? If there are any other missing components required to run FocMechAPP, I'd appreciate if you could also share those.

Thank you for your time and effort in maintaining this project. I look forward to your response.

Hi there,

Apologies for the misleading README. When I published the paper (and the rest) of the code I intended to clean up the FocMechAPP code and post it, but I never got around to it. At this point I won't publish it, as I'm currently working on a Python version that uses much more standard data inputs (ObsPy Event/Origin/Pick classes).

I've attached a copy of the MATLAB codes for you here, although I can't wholeheartedly recommend using it. Forming the data inputs might not be that much easier than for a more established code such as HASH, and this code has undergone relatively little testing.

Best, Alex

Thanks again for offering to share the FocMechAPP MATLAB codes. However, I didn't receive the actual code files or links in your previous response.

Could you please resend or provide the link to the FocMechAPP codebase? Having access to these resources would be really helpful for my earthquake source mechanism research.

I appreciate your efforts in maintaining this project and sharing your work. Looking forward to receiving the MATLAB codes.

Oh sorry, I didn't realize my response was going through Github, which is probably why my attachment was not included in the response. Please email me directly so I can reply with the codes.
