i thought we said to have chat after sales / support?

aphostway commented 8 years ago

what if we killed "store" and just added a dynamic cart icon and total that appears only if the user adds something to the cart?

Also we should change Sign In to Log In since the user cannot "sign up".

And yes we will need Chat or the lead gen team will chase us through the office with pitchforks.

Because it's a global nav bar, having any sort of cart icon that updated when you added items would mean making the section aware of every site, and carrying values between sites... The reason it's a static card icon now... you're up against the same limitation. It should be a link to the store -- we could link to the cart, but linking to an empty cart wouldn't drive anyone to purchase anything.

We can take it off if you want. That's always an option. But if we want to have it, it has to be a link, and it should be a link to the store so someone could buy something there.

Agreed that it's not ideal as a static link, but we need to kill “cool” features to hit our deadline. Thinking this could really just be a shopping cart image (not necessary at text “Store” button/link).

See comment above - desire is for a dynamic shopping cart icon that has an indicator when something's actually in the cart. But for now, a static cart icon is fine with me.
