Docs do not say which version of CentOS to use.

I tried CentOS 8.2 in wsl2 (with appstream and without, whatever this means). It failed because it was not able to find liquibase package. I undestand WSL2 installation is not supported, but in my understading, it should not differ from real CentOS that much.

Hootenanny seems like really good and useful tool for improving OSM, but pretty hard to install (requires either virtualbox+vagrant or CentOS).

Okay, update. I found that you only can use CentOS7. (You can guess from el7 in the names of packages, but it is cryptic, as CentOS has no resemblance to abbrevation el7 at all)

Program can be installed in WSL2 with image from here: https://github.com/mishamosher/CentOS-WSL/releases/tag/7.9-2009
