SMU Geothermal Laboratory Well Fluid Production data resource

The external website should at least give some indication as to where it is going – i.e. SMU’s GTDA or USGIN’s notification page so the user knows what they are clicking on before they do it – I would even recommend a hover tag that the user can see the URL when they hover over the button.

The first External website takes the user to (http://geothermal.smu.edu:9000/geoserver/aasg-wellfluidproduction/wms?request=GetCapabilities) which actually produces an error.

From demo.geothermaldata.org: I find that that link does not produce an error, but takes you to the service capabilities indicated.

I'm actually having trouble finding that resource at all ... @jdeprizio Could you give the exact search term you used? I tried SMU Geothermal Laboratory Well Fluid Production and didn't get the resource.

Hi Christy,

I am sorry if my input wasn’t clear enough. This error was occurring in geothermaldata.org and not the demo site, perhaps that is why you can’t repeat it?

Need to test when SMU gets harvested into new build

isn't this a metadata issue-- the text that gets displayed is the name and description from the CI_OnlineResource for the DigitalTransfer option in Distribution section of metadata. If so then this should be an issue in the metadata repository-- to improve names and descriptions on links.
