While building the custom map Extent sidebar tool to allow users to draw an extent rectangle and populate the fields, I ran into a number of editor issues, most notably, a number of times, submit result in "Server Error", even when no changes are entered into the form. These errors may be program errors & data errors, I will investigate and resolve...

REI modified the editor, created a minimal data structure that is passed to the edit form. on Submit, the package extras section of the CKAN package gets erased. Need to update editor to use the NGDS package save process that is used by the NGDS harvester, not the out of the box CKAN package save, which doesn't know about ngds extras. Also have to pass the NGDS metadata to the editor, not the brief content that REI set up.
