Alpha-transparency defect while scrolling desktops #193

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Load widget with transparency, like Beautiful Widgets, Smooth Calendar, etc.
2. swipe to another desktop
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The alpha transparency of widgets should stay intact (at least, they do with
Launcher2 and LauncherPro). However, with ADW, the gradient in the transparency
is no longer smooth and becomes banded. Kind of like going from 32-bit color
to 8-bit color. the smooth transparency and gradient returns once the desktop
settles.

What version of the product are you using? On what phone? What Android
version?
v1.1.5 on a Samsung Vibrant (stock, rooted) and Android 2.1.

Please provide any additional information below.

It is to increase the speed/smoothness of the scrolling. Go to ADWSettings >
System Preferences > Scrolling Cache to Disable it or make it automatic (Be
warned that scrolling may not be as nice).
