@piks The same error Ambrose got when she ran the example bot. And asl97 told it was "invalid"
@AcePokeMaster its not a invalid chatango only sometimes sends the data "None" on friendslist, possiblaly on a deleted acct or on a old inactive, or frozen acct i litterally just git cloned the git repos and tried it on my computer as killer04289 i set a pull request with a fix but it might wanna be looked over
@asl97 @Nullspeaker can you guys maybe look into this, hopefully before @asl97 tries to close the discussion without researching the topic
lmao.
@Piks Yeah. The account that Ambrose was using for the script was a very old account that had contacts that no longer exists/not active anymore. But when I made a issue about it asl97 kept saying "It shouldn't return None." and that my issue was invalid...
it's not the issue that's invalid but ch.py that's invalid. reverse psychological processing ftw
Closing with pull request #42
@asl97 only. Invalid my butt on my issue of this, it seems like I'm the one who was actually correct again. =.=
@AcePokeMaster you are the one who invalid it yourself by giving wrong info and you WEREN'T one who gotten the error
this was the original crappy issue that @AcePokeMaster make
Okay so I had a friend run the example bot with their bot and it gives and error in rcmd function. I have the traceback and here it is:
Traceback (most recent call last): File "C:\Users\AMBER'S\Desktop\Python\BOTFOLDER\ch.py-master\example.py", line 32, in
how the hell are you suppose to read this crap ^
not only that, he USE an empty string for the password without saying anything about him removing it which mean it would run anonPM instead of PM
and thus, invaild cause that error can't and wouldn't happen on anonPM
@asl97 It's a lot easier to read if you hook into the traceback module and pretty print it yourself.
see updated post above, last comment was 5 hours ago, i thought i would at least gotten 10 mins to edit it :/
@asl97 Format your code ;) Plus I'm still correct and that my issue was not completely invalid. Also watch your mouth your only 17 years old. At least I know how to act on the internet.
@AcePokeMaster THAT'S YOUR CODE FROM THE ORIGINAL POST OF THE ISSUE YOU MAKE
@asl97 So? At least I was trying to point something out to you even if it was a bad way of doing it. It's still useful.
try reading, i said in the post above on why i invalid it
not only that, he USE an empty string for the password without saying anything about him removing it which mean it would run anonPM instead of PM
and thus, invaild cause that error can't and wouldn't happen on anonPM
@asl97 You don't listen do you? I posted a comment saying that I removed the password in the issue to prevent anyone from stealing her bot account.
@AcePokeMaster that was after i INVALID it
then i uninvalid it and ask her and she say there no problem so i ununinvalid it cause there was no problem on her side anymore
you were nothing more than the middle person, you didn't get back to her, you just keep telling me there a problem without anything more than ERROR in ch.py
and going back and forth
you posted the issue about someone problem without password > i invalid it > you explain you remove the password > i uninvalid it > i pm her and she said no problem anymore > i ununinvaild it > end of story
the moral of the story: DON'T POST ISSUE THAT YOU DIDN'T GET THEM YOURSELF
@asl97 That order is wrong. First I posted the issue with traceback and no password in it. > You comment that the password missing so it would go to anon pms etc > I commented the password was taken out to prevent acc theft > then you erased all the comments and complained that I gave you junk when I didn't. > You then decided to invalid it without actually doing multiple tests to make sure it actually didn't do that. > Then Piks finds the same issue. Making your statement invalid.
@AcePokeMaster i deleted the offtopic message that you started and see, you are doing it again going off topic
@asl97 Fine by me but make sure you erase yours as well. Also stop talking to me then. You can erase this one as well.
@AcePokeMaster why would i want to waste my time deleting your comment again?
most repo goes by the simple way of handling issue report, unable to reproduce equal invalid most repo also goes by a simple rule, don't fix a problem that doesn't exist so unable to reproduce == don't put extra checking code that might slow down code
all you did was say there an error and you got no idea why, so you give nothing and you expect someone to magically reproduce it
piks say there and error and give a possible reason on why it happen and manage to reproduce it and thus give a reason on adding that checking code
also why am i even wasting my time arguing with you about something useless, it's fix end of story
@asl97 Could you make that comment smaller? I don't feel like reading the whole thing just because of your whining.
and you are going off topic talking about my whining, AGAIN...
@asl97 Fine you want to go back to the topic. That my issue was identical to this one and you couldn't put 2 and 2 together to figure out that I removed the password.
@AcePokeMaster why are you going round in circles?
you didn't state you remove the password == incomplete issue report
you didn't have any idea why it would happen == no lead on where the problem is
you don't have a computer to reproduce the error and no one was able to reproduce it due to the lack of info
you weren't the one who having the error == you can't even setup some test to find the problem
see piks issue report
he dummy out the password with a clear message that he did == no problem there
he gave a possible reason on how or why it happen == we got a lead on where to look
he manage to reproduce it == there is a problem with ch.py
he got a computer + he is the one with the error == he is able to setup test and fix it
@asl97 I did state I remove the password so that part is incorrect. And yes I have a partner who help me find the issue so I could have. Stop trying to make false statements about me.
@AcePokeMaster i am talking about the ORIGINAL issue report
see your mess above which i posted
@asl97 Omg you're still posting. You keep making my email alerts go beep beep and I'm trying to go to sleep. And so am I I'm also talking about the original issue.
@asl97 I'm not posting anything else on this issue because we're getting nowhere and obviously will not get anywhere.
@AcePokeMaster you are the one who keep making MY email alerts go beep beep!
ladies please your both sexy now please move onto another issue @asl97 @AcePokeMaster
