When tabs are split in wxAuiNotebook, the split size is very uneven. In the "old" notebook the split was done approximately in half (in the direction of the split), which looked good as the result. In the "dynamic" branch the result of the split is difficult to predict, with some of the split tabs taking little to no space.
This can be seen in the Auidemo by going to View | Create wxAuiNotebook and dragging tabs around to split.
