Progress towards 3.0? #231

Open GElliott opened 5 years ago

I am really looking forward to the improved support for mixed underlying storage types in Units v3. There appeared to be quite a bit of momentum for a while there, but it looks like progress towards a 3.0 release have stalled out. What can folks do to help get things back on track?

@GElliott it's been a while since this comment, but we're once again trying to build momentum for a 3.0 release. I'd like to see it in Q1 of 2021 Q4 of 2020.

Some outstanding questions and issues have to be resolved:

Anyone who has played with units 3.0 and is willing to put a paragraph or an example together for the v3.0 readme would making the biggest possible contribution towards the release.
