Hello, do you want the date as 2020 or 2021. Where is the packages hosted.

Lextuga007 commented 2 years ago

That section could be updated with the latest number (which is higher) as I can't remember if I did the slide in 2020 or 2021 😄 https://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/#:~:text=Currently%2C%20the%20CRAN%20package%20repository%20features%2019023%20available%20packages.

hello, i may have to submit different pull request for each task. i think i have solved the first task, so i need you to review it.

where do you want the reference to ROpenSci, is it on that same page.

when you said particularly as packages like https://github.com/ropensci/fingertipsR are on it now (no longer CRAN). do you mean the github link should replace the CRAN.

if i should download the code, am i not just replacing CRAN with fingertipsR. or am i working on the code

can you clarify the second task

Lextuga007 commented 2 years ago

Yes, happy to accept a pull request for each task.

For this I'd like something to reference the ROpenSci like the current GitHub link so it might need a change of text to explain. This issue relates to a change in the course material content if that helps.

The point about the fingertipsR package doesn't necessarily have to go into the slide but it's nice to have some reference in the issue as to why it's important to highlight. fingertipsR is a UKHSA (formerly Public Health England) package and it being on ROpenSci is very relevant to healthcare analysts who may teach this material.
